NAWI provides funding for early stage applied research to lower the cost and energy required to produce clean water from nontraditional water sources such as seawater, inland brackish groundwater, industrial and municipal wastewater, and produced water from oil and gas development.
The NAWI’s request for proposal (RFP) research topics are guided by five roadmaps, as well as one master roadmap synthesis report. These reports provide detailed descriptions of our research priorities, based on an extensive technology road mapping process. Read the reports.
NAWI strongly encourages collaborations between universities, national laboratories, industry, and trade organizations. When you follow us on LinkedIn, you become part of the NAWI Network and are connected to a diverse group of stakeholders. Members enjoy access to research results, industry developments, and many opportunities to directly connect with leaders in water treatment technology research and development, which may be helpful when developing a competitive proposal.
NAWI issues RFPs to solicit early-stage applied research projects that align with key research priorities. InfoReady is NAWI’s funding application portal dedicated to NAWI Request for Proposals (RFPs) and the funding application process. You can find out about RFPs, read frequently asked questions, and submit applications on InfoReady.
